Technology 1
  • Motus AX of the Italian brand DEKA is an alexandrite laser for hair removal. The 755 nm wavelength used in the laser has high absorption in melanin, which is crucial in laser hair removal treatments;
  • High peak power: over 6000W;
  • Integrated contact skin cooling system. Ending cooled to 15 degrees;
  • Innovative MOVEO system - ensuring maximum effectiveness along with the comfort and safety of the treatment;
  • Effective for thin and light hair;
  • Painless.
Epilation is a process during which the melanin contained in the hair absorbs certain amounts of energy from the laser light. Energy absorption produces heat, which is then dispersed to adjacent tissues (so-called selective photothermolysis). The generated heat damages the existing hair follicle as well as the cells responsible for the process of creating new hair. The energy generated by the alexandrite laser is absorbed by melanin, so only hair that is in the anagen phase and which contains at least a minimal amount of pigment are damaged. Therefore, each treatment session eliminates only part of the hair (15-60%) contained in the skin. Depending on the area of the body, the number of hairs that are in the growth phase at any given time varies. Therefore, the number of treatments required to remove the majority of unwanted hair may vary. Moreover, darker and thicker hair requires fewer treatments than light and thin hair. The essence of laser epilation treatment with the Motus alexandrite laser is permanent damage of the hair structures responsible for its growth, and therefore - complete, permanent removal of unwanted hair. After a series of treatments, "reminder" treatments should be performed every few months (3-6).

In case of the Motus AX alexandrite laser, it should be sufficient to perform 6 to 8 treatments at intervals of 4 to 12 weeks (depending on the body area), however, the final number of treatments depends on individual predispositions.

So far, diode laser hair removal has been the most popular. The diode laser works well on dark hair, but is not as effective on light hair. For this reason, we have introduced a modern and technologically advanced new generation laser to our offer. No other type of laser combines such effective energy absorption by melanin chromophores - 25% greater than a diode laser, high peak power and the ability to select short pulse lengths. The use of these elements makes Motus AX operate on completely different parameters than previously used lasers. This makes it possible to remove even thin and very light hair, in which melanin is present in minimal concentrations. 1

Therefore, this laser is a perfect solution for people with light hair and for people who, after several sessions with other lasers (e.g. Vectus, Lightsheer), cannot get rid of the remaining hair - which, as a result of numerous epilations, is usually thin and light, so the classic Diode lasers cannot cope with them.

The laser is completely safe also for clients with dark skin, and the treatments can be performed regardless of the season.

The alexandrite laser also differs from the diode laser in its operating system. Motus AX is equipped with modern MOVEO technology, which is based on smooth and fast movements over the skin without removing the ending from the treatment area, using a 20 mm sapphire head. Working in this mode causes gradual heating, causing hair destruction in a painless and safe way. 1

It is worth to remain that the laser does not remove white and gray hair.

Information, recommendations and contraindications
Treatment
Below are the pre- and post-treatment recommendations that should be followed to make the treatment as effective as possible. We also provide a list of contraindications and information about the process itself.
Before treatment
  • A few hours before the visit, carefully and thoroughly shave the hair from the treatment area with a razor, leaving a small short fragment (approx. 2x2cm) to assess the color and thickness of the hair (applies to the first treatment of a given area);
  • Do not use ointments, creams, deodorants or other products on shaved areas;
  • A few days before the treatment, you should stop consuming photosensitizing herbs in large doses (if your skin is not hypersensitive to the sun) and in smaller doses (if hypersensitivity occurs);
  • The treatment can be performed a few days after intense sun exposure/solarium, if the skin is no longer red (no fresh tan);
  • It is best not to use self-tanners for a few days before the treatment;
  • No antibiotics - approximately 7-14 days before the treatment (depending on the dose and skin hypersensitivity to sunlight);
  • A week before the procedure, do not use depilatory creams, ointments with vitamin A, C, retinol, isotretinoin or fruit acids;
  • Mechanical hair removal (tweezers, wax, sugar paste, epilator) should be avoided for at least 4 weeks before the visit;
  • Do not use strong peels 2 weeks before the procedure, do not use gentle peels a week before, and do not use laser peels and strong acids a month before;
  • You should not drink alcohol on the day of the procedure - 24 hours before and after;
  • It is not recommended to use cosmetics containing alcohol (deodorants) 3 days before the procedure;
  • Before the treatment, the skin should be dry and clean.
Treatment
  • Duration: from 5 minutes (e.g. mustache) up to 2.5 hours (entire body);
  • Continuous operation;
  • Birthmarks: covered / masked / avoided;
  • Tattoo: avoided;
  • Anesthesia: no, the procedure is painless;
  • The treatment itself is performed on the skin covered with ultrasound gel to reduce possible friction and facilitate the movement of the ending over the skin;
  • After the procedure, final decisions will be discussed and further therapy will be planned. It is very important to be disciplined and follow the recommendations so as not to shorten or extend the recommended intervals between subsequent treatments. Maintaining the recommended intervals will allow you to effectively, successively remove subsequent hairs entering the anagen phase
After treatment
  • Within two to three days after the procedure, you should avoid exercising, e.g. at the gym, hot baths, swimming pool, sauna, solarium, massages and sun;
  • For a few days after the treatment, do not irritate the epilated area, do not rub vigorously while drying and do not use deodorants (using a dry deodorant is recommended);
  • During the week, in case of potential sun exposure, you should lubricate your skin with an SPF 30 or SPF 50 protection filter;
  • Hair may be cut or shaved between treatments, but must not be pulled out with tweezers or removed with wax or sugar;
  • In the case of facial epilation, do not use cosmetics immediately after the treatment;
  • In case of irritation or discomfort, it is recommended to use Panthenol spray.
Contraindications
  • Photosensitivity, photodermatosis;
  • Photosensitizing medicines, herbs used in large doses (for example nettle, horsetail, St. John's wort, biotin, quinine) and anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, antibiotics (see chapter "Before treatment");

  • Oncology, cancer - 5 years after recovery;
  • Sun exposure (see chapter "Before treatment");
  • Self-tanners and peels, exfoliating treatments (see chapter "Before treatment");
  • Tattoos in places being under the treatment (small ones can be avoided);

  • Eyebrow area;
  • Vitiligo, psoriasis;
  • Diabetes in the decompensation phase;
